The mashup is actually quite nice and it creates perhaps a better tune than each in seperate.

But yeah... those two tunes are almost the same.

And with each release that hits Beatport's top 10 my thought is always the same "Its exactly like his other song"

He recycles a lot of his tracks for sure. ^^^ Good artist stupid f%cking name if you ask me.
He has an autoload for most his tracks, meaning he opens the same song everytime and just hit's save as. The drums, synth patches, etc all come from the same place. Everyone does it, he just breaks the record for it.

Its called a formula.. When a producer gets a hit, he usually lets it ride for as long as he/she can. There are a few tracks, from producers that that come out with similar tracks, probably cause it's easy money.

Now, I need to check how far apart these to where released, cause if it was more then a month, then thats just grimmy.

EDIT:

Actually, it would make more sense if they were months apart, to let the 1st track die out a bit. Bring the next track and rack in the dough, with little to no work involved.

Well I guess I'll step up and represent the fanboys club...

So now that Sean has cracked the code, it should only be days before he hits the top of the beatport charts. Right?

Deadmau5 has a ton of tracks out there, and yeah, some are very simliar. I can spot a new track of his in the club the first time I hear it, and I bet I'm far from alone on that. But I can also do that with Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Benassi (obviously), Pryda, Fedde Le Grand, Justice, and Dave Spoon, to name a few, and they don't get ripped constantly.

I think Deadmau5 is pretty versatile. Just glancing through his tracks on beatport, the genre listings include house, electro house, progressive house, tech house, techno, minimal, deep house, and breaks. Unless you want some hardcore or trance, don't know what else you can ask for.

People say artists need to find their sound, and then when they do, they get ripped for always being the same. Go too broad and you're a one hit wonder in every genre and never develop a following.

I think that's enough...I realize you're just poking fun, but I imagine it has happened a thousand times on this board alone and it's getting just as lame as ripping Tiesto. For the most part it comes off as jealousy...and I'm sure you're aware of that Sean...I think you're a mod, so I figure you've read most of it. Or are you going to come up with another breakthrough and proclaim that Nickelback has similar songs.

(I'll save you the digging and just tell you I've made an entire mix of Deadmau5 tracks. I'm a big fan)

I think hes using the same damn midi sequences linked to different sounds. Talk about a time saver just drop some sounds here and there, tweak a little and bam. I have been known to be wrong but jeez.

I'm not jealous of him at all, i've never even heard of him. Just making an observation.
