Oh ok, thats kool I thought you were just going on the premise that he has the name deadmau5 on djf. That's pretty kool of him to take the time to spin some sets and talk. I really respect big dj's that still act like just a normal music lover. Some of the big guys have their heads up their asses and act like their to kool for school.

First the lame bashing of religion and now Deadmau5. Seems he likes to beat a dead horse.
Dude, you always love to give me sh!t for giving my opinion on Deadmau5. It's no secret that I've liked some his productions and am not afraid to drop the good ones. I always thought Faxing Berlin, Finished Symphony, Not Exactly, and all that other generic "prog house" sh!t was exactly that...He's got some jackers and some peaky, good stuff , but seriously, his "money-maker" originals and remixes are some of the weakest chart tracks I've heard in 2007. The mass butt-love for the guy now is absolutely ridiculous.

Don't even give me crap after your shItty "Porn mix" you did. Me and the girl put that mix in the car to give it a shot on a road trip and laughed our asses off at how horrible and cheese EVERY.SINGLE.TRACK was. Not to mention it was totally sexist garbage. Horrible mix, horrible tracks, and horrible taste that say a lot about you. I didn't want to tell you that at the time, but screw it, might as well at this point since you seem to have something out for me.

As for my "lame bashing of religion" well, I got more rep, positive PMs, and pats on the back from those posts from regular users and mods than just about any thread/posts I've made on this forum. Sadly, most folks are afraid of getting unfairly criticized and bashed by idiots like you, that they won't come right out and say it themselves. So a few numb nut, grown-ass men with bad taste and a belief in fairy tales got their panties in a wad over intelligent, thought-out, logical arguments? If all you can do is make a sad attempt to take me down a notch with weak insults and digging up old threads that don't even prove your point (I mean hell, everything I said there was positive toward the guy, and I meant them and stand by them...but I'll tell him to his face that his "prog house" tracks that have garnered so much attention are pretty damn weak and BORING--hell, he admitted as much in one of the Stickam chats I was in with him and all he'd say is "$$$" ).

D'James, no matter how much you'd like to think otherwise, you're part of the problem.

He is a bit of a douche. And he repeatedly talked about how he just makes tracks for the, and I'm quoting him, "$$$"

Gotta love that, to the point.

You guys have all this worship for the guy, call me out as a dick for calling him out on lame tracks, but I'm not the only one that saw him first-hand being a a total cock n balls to the very people who bought his sh!t in the first place.

I still stand by my statement that he has made good music, but he's a flake as a person, and much bigger Internet dick than I'll ever be.

Deadmau should take Will Azada's screename "1TrickPony", I think he deserves it more than Will.

I am with Will in that, deadmau's new prog tracks suck. His older stuff was cool, but the new shit is crap. When Deadmau came in to Faderwave and said himself he was doing it for the money, and making fun of other people who where playing his tunes, that he knew sucked, I lost the little bit of respect i had for him.

He is a TOOL.

didn't know that. You should have sent him back home and have him replaced with any of the other Djs who do it just to have a good time with other people.

I'm with KJ and Will on this.

I'm not going to pretend I don't like his older tracks and some of his new tech house. Hell, when I got my hands on Afterhours a year ago, it killed every floor I played it out. The Dark Beat remix is also pretty good. Hell, half the stuff with BSOD and Mellefresh about a year ago was awesome too.

But I'm let down now. All this prog shit is crap that just pumps out "$$$". I was there when Will, the chat, and I called him out on the new stuff. And ya, when we asked him why he did it, he said "$$$" and then left. He's also told us to just pirate whatever isn't on beatport by him (aka Daft Punk remix).

I'm no longer supporting deadmau5 as a person or as an artist. But, that doesn't mean I won't play a good track by him if it ever comes out again. I simply won't give my money to a guy that, to my face, said he's doing it just for the $$$ and is openly puts down any person that doesn't play his music.

I don't need to lick balls for some guy just because he's famous. If he's a douche, I'm going to treat him just as bad as MC Hemsi on here. There's plenty of other good music out there.

P.S.: Dark Beat was still in my crate on beatport until a few days ago. Not anymore. I got it from somewhere else.

I'm not a fan boy, although I buy what I like and I do have some of his tracks. All this talk about him making tracks for the $$, is nothing new. Why is everyone surprised over him saying such a thing.
It's no different then a hiphop artist going to a welll-known producer and asking for a similar hit, compared to another production he's done in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if deadrat was contacted to do a follow up to a few of his tracks, for some serious dough. Anyone who was trying to get their name out, would probably do the same. Business is business and sometimes you have to sell, sorry to say.

Now the fact that he talked shit about the ppl playing his track, not sure what to say to that. Maybe he never wanted to release certain tracks, but was forced to or contracted to.

I don't really care, but there has to be a reason behind his words.

Some people make music because they have a passion for the tunes. If they just so happen to make some money off of it, that is awesome. If you start making music that you dont like, just to turn a profit, that is completely lame. sure it's nothing new, but it is lame, and I for one, will never support that.

That's like going out and buying a Solja Boy album
